IFASA's November 19 Meeting will take place at 7 PM at Gangplank, 17 East Pennington, Tucson, and will feature:

 

Best On Screen Kiss Contest:  Bring your kissing companion or find one on set, kiss anyone you want (as long as both participants have 18 years of experience), wardrobe and make up and stage instructions are left up to you and your lip-mate -- we'll film each pair of contestants and pick a winner at the end of the night. $100.00 Cash Money to the winning couple.  Given the way you kiss, it will be like just stopping by to pick up free money.

 

Film Trivia Contest:  Win warm beer and pairs of Harkins movie tickets for answering questions about Directors of Photography. Here's a hint -- Joel Coen does not leave home without him.

 

DP Panel Discussion:  Listen to a panel of the area's top Directors of Photography give tips to new filmmakers and experienced filmmakers alike.  Why pay tuition when we are giving away the answers to the test?

 

Equipment Demonstrations:  Watch demonstrations of green screen, jib arms, traditional cameras,  new cameras (including the Canon C-100), and a comparison of lighting technology. Learn all about LED Arrays so that you can impress your friends who just came for the kissing thing and in hopes of taking home some warm beer.

 

Free Head Shots.  Anne Dalton will be taking free professionally lit head shots on a first come first served basis.  Bring a flash drive, jump drive or other portable hard drive to get a free head shot down loaded.

 

Best DP Award.  We will be announcing the Independent Film Association of Southern Arizona 2013 Best Director of Photography Award.  It is still not to late to get your nomination in -- but don't wait much longer.  

 

Free Copies of the 2013 IFASA Directory.  I'd show up just to get one. Soon we will be giving out the 2014 directory -- making the 2013 directory a collectors item.

 

Hard to believe -- but it costs nothing to attend.  Did I mention we'll be giving away warm beer?  Tuesday, November 19, 7 PM, Gangplank, 17 East Pennington in Tucson.  I hope to see you on Tuesday.
