Tucson, Arizona-- The PCC Wind Ensemble, under the direction of Dr. Mark Nelson, presents its final fall semester concert with an eclectic mix of standard band repertoire, transcriptions and a perennial holiday favorite. The woodwind, brass and percussion ensembles perform several chamber music selections. Program highlights include Alfred Reed’s “A Festival Prelude,” the massive “Chorale and Fugue in G minor” by J.S. Bach, Percy Grainger’s “A Sussex Mummers Carol,” and a medley of big band signature tunes. The band ends the concert with Leroy Anderson’s “Sleigh Ride” to usher in the holiday season.
Pima Community College Center for the Arts is located on the West Campus just west of downtown and I-10 on St. Mary’s Rd, which turns into Anklam Rd. Box office hours are Tuesday-Friday, noon to 5 p.m. and one hour prior to performance.
