It’s time for Christmas and everything is almost ready. Everything, that is, but the Christmas cheer. Dance, sing, and rock ‘n roll while you help Santa, the elves, and a couple of clumsy reindeer raise the cheer in time for Christmas.
About the Artists
Michael Martinez (Director & Snowflake) has been the Executive Director of Live Theatre Workshop for the past two years. Previously, he served as the Director of Education as well as a teaching artist and performer. He has been working with Live Theatre Workshop since 2001. Michael has created and composed music for several original musicals for young audiences including FRIDITA Y EL PRINCEL MAGICO, MI NANA Y QUETZALCOATAL LA SERPIENTE EMPLUMAD, THE SNOW MAIDEN, and OSO FUERTE. He has also been seen on the LTW Mainstage in I DO! I DO! He teaches musical theatre classes as well as creating and teaching musical theatre programming for Tucson-area schools. In spring 2013, Michael completed his Master of Public Administration degree at the U of A. His MPA degree focused on nonprofit management and program evaluation.
Emily Beaulieu (Hollyberry) has lived in Tucson her entire life and is a recent graduate of Empire High School. Emily recently joined the cast of the touring All Together Theatre show, THE NIGHTENGALE, playing the role of the Empress. She also held many roles in her final year at Empire including Maid Marian (ROBIN HOOD), Mrs. Roeder (RADIUM GIRLS), and Rosemary (HOW TO SUCCEED IN BUSINESS WITHOUT REALLY TRYING). Emily has loved performing with LTW thus far and is excited to appear in her 2nd ATT show.
Aidan Cipra (Jingle) lives in Tucson and is a senior at Empire High School. This is Aidan's second show with All Together Theatre, and he is absolutely thrilled to be taking the stage once again. Aidan is involved in his school's theatre department and has held many roles in his productions there, most recently being Blake Moore in SPY SCHOOL. Some of his favorite roles include Kevin (ROBIN HOOD), Mr. Bratt (HOW TO SUCCEED IN BUSINESS WITHOUT REALLY TRYING), and Winthrop (MUSIC MAN). Aidan loves performing and hopes you enjoy the show.
Amanda Gremel (Dancer) is the Director of All Together Theatre at LTW. She was last seen in MISS NELSON IS MISSING. Some of her favorite roles include Mother Goose (MOTHER GOOSE UNPLUCKED!), The Sheriff of Notingham (ROBIN HOOD), Merlina (KING ARTHUR), and The Golden Goose (JACK AND THE BEANSTALK). Amanda is also LTW's Director of Education which won the Lumie award for the best arts education program in Tucson this year.
Sheldon Metz (Santa Claus) has directed theatre in Chicago, Los Angeles, and Tucson for over 52 years. He was founder and Exec. Dir. of A.C.C.T., too! - in Los Angeles; Dir. of the West Coast Theatre Conference (LA); and The Theatre Conference (NY); Associate Artistic Dir. and Prod. Dir. for the Playwrights’ Kitchen Ensemble, under Dan Lauria. In L. A., Metz won 14 directing awards and 20 set design awards. In Tucson, he’s directed PROOF!, THE BEAUTY QUEEN OF LEENANE, FRONTING THE ORDER, and THE RADIUM GIRLS; for LTW - OLEANNA, COLLECTED STORIES and The CEMETERY CLUB; and, for ChamberMusic Plus/Southwest, A RARE PATTERN, starring Margo Kidder. Currently, he is the Founder/Artistic Director for the new Tucson Alliance of Dramatic Artists (TADA!); co-founder of Murder Mayhem Murder Mysteries; and Founder of the new Alliance Performance Center of Tucson, opening this coming Spring. Sheldon thanks his wife Linda who allows him to do this.
Mike Saxon (Blitzen) is a native Tucsonan and has recently graduated from the University of Arizona with a Bachelors of Arts in Theatre Education. This is Mike's first show with LTW; he's currently teaching weekend classes with LTW and is stage managing both BOIENG BOEING and PHOTOGRAPH 51. He was most recently seen as Ford in El Rio Theatre Project's THE MERRY WIVES OF WINDSOR. He wishes to thanks his family for their unconditional love and support.
Linda Schulman-Metz (Mrs. Claus) is married to director Sheldon Metz. She has helped him as assistant director over the past 28 years, offering important third-person insight into characters and movement. This is her first acting job. She retired from UCLA after 34 years, mostly as financial analyst in the Department of Sociology.
