Open Casting Call for Feature Film (Tucson)
Open casting call Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2013 from 10am-9pm for a feature film based on the book My Name is Nobody. Auditions are being held at Shlomo and Vito's New York Delicatessen & Pizza Kitchen on Skyline and Campbell in Tucson. Auditions are on a first come first served basis. We highly recommend reading the book ahead of time to familiarize yourself with the story and its characters. We had a great turnout at the Phoenix auditions. Unfortunately, out of 162 auditions, we found only 6 people that will be called back by the end of this month. There are still 31 speaking parts that need to be filled as well as many important extras. We highly suggest that you read the book ahead of time. It's only 73 pages but will give you a strong visual and feel of this project.
If you are playing the role of a specific person like Muhammad Ali or someone from a specific culture or time in history like the movie 300, you would want to be familiar with the character or historical era. For example, if you were auditioning for Bella or Edward from Twilight, you would want to read the book ahead of time in order to give you a sense of the character that will allow you to give your strongest performance at the audition.
