Pima Theatre presents Singin’ in the Rain, screenplay by Betty Comden and Adolph Green, with Songs by Nacio Herb Brown and Arthur Freed. Brought to the stage by the creative team of director Todd Poelstra, choreographer Mickey Nugent and music director Martha Reed. Tap your toes and sing along in this splashy adaptation of the beloved film. The stage adaptation of this celebrated musical film is faithfully and lovingly adapted by Broadway legends, Betty Comden and Adolph Green, the original award-winning screenplay writers for Singin' in the Rain. Each unforgettable scene, song and dance is accounted for, including the show-stopping title number, complete with an onstage rainstorm! Hilarious situations, snappy dialogue and a hit-parade score of Hollywood standards make Singin' in the Rain the perfect entertainment for any fan of the golden age of movie musicals. special events: • Opening Night Celebration! Pima Theatre is teaming up with the Pima Community College Hospitality Management- Culinary Arts Program to provide a fun filled evening of food and entertainment. Each ticket includes a gourmet three-course meal (vegetarian option available), a presentation about the theatre program and a ticket to the show. Thursday, Feb.26, dinner starts at 6 p.m. Tickets: $75 or $800 for a sponsor table of 8.
