Subject: SIX CHARACTERS IN SEARCH OF AN AUTHOR
The Rogue Theatre is looking for a young girl to be a part of SIX CHARACTERS IN SEARCH OF AN AUTHOR. The character is four years old, but we would prefer a girl who is six or seven (or thereabouts) who is small for her age. Performances run September 18 – August 5 (Thursday through Sunday); rehearsals could start as late as September 2.
SIX CHARACTERS IN SEARCH OF AN AUTHOR is a story in which a theatre company, rehearsing a new play, is interrupted by a small family claiming they are characters created and subsequently abandoned by their original author. What follows is an exploration of the nature of reality and the world of the art, as the characters strive to convince the theatre company to finish their story.
