Communications Manager and Events Coordinator Tucson Pima Arts Council (TPAC) Application deadline:  July 23, 2008, 4:00 PM

The Tucson Pima Arts Council is currently seeking a full-time Communications Manager and Events Coordinator. Job Summary: This position will manage TPAC communications to promote the arts in Tucson generally and the programs and services of the Arts Council in particular, plus coordinate TPAC special events—the annual Open Studios Tour, Family Arts Festival, and Arts Awards Celebration. Responsibilities:

Manage all aspects of TPAC communications, both electronic and print, including design, content, database, and distribution

Maintain calendar for e-news mailings, calls to artists and online RFPs

Coordinate special events by developing project plans, timelines, and deadlines; monitoring expenses and budgets; supervising contracted services; providing onsite coordination 

Assist executive and deputy directors as requested, e.g., evaluating the scope of projects and drafting budgets for events

Minimum Requirements:   B.A. in Arts Management or equivalent experience; 3-5 years work experience with online management tools; project management skills; good communication and organizational skills; strong attention to detail; capable of multi-tasking, excellent computer skills. Results-oriented, self-starters with team spirit are encouraged to apply.  Salary:  Commensurate with experience.
