WHAT IS LOST? -

LOST played to rave reviews at the New York Fringe Festival, winning BEST MUSICAL - and has the distinction of being the ONLY Fringe musical ever filmed by The Lincoln Center Library for Performing Arts - a rare slot otherwise occupied only by critically praised Broadway productions.

The story: LOST is the story of Hanlon and Gabby, two teenage siblings abandoned by their father in the Great Smokey Mountains. Stumbling upon a cabin, they are whisked into the world of Mamba, a witch who harvests the organs of children to keep herself alive and young.

Enslaved, Gabby and Hanlon face off with Laborious (Mamba's evil scientist husband), zombie children from 400 years of American History, axe-wielding hoodoos (real ghosts of the Appalachian region), and the vagaries of young love.

Mamba and Laborious prepare for the body-theft of Hanlon's brain and Gabby's womb, but the mysterious appearance of a white fawn changes everything.

This re-imagining of the classic Hansel and Gretel story features life-size puppets, a cast of 13 performers, a full musical orchestra, and a ground-breaking score by Jessica Grace Wing, a Tucsonan whose struggle with and ultimate death from cancer during the musical's creation brings an added poignancy to the themes addressed in this epic show.

Opera or Light Opera experience is preferred. Sight reading is a plus. There is an honorarium for all cast and crew.
