ATC announces open auditions for Equity and non-Equity actors for Lost In Yonkers, written by Neil Simon, on Wednesday, November 17th in Phoenix with callbacks occurring in the afternoon. The production will begin rehearsals on February 1, 2011 and will play February 26 – March 19th, 2011 in Tucson and March 24, 2011 – April 10, 2011 in Phoenix.
Actors must be 16 or older to audition and must be available days and evenings for rehearsals and performances. If cast, actors will reside in Tucson for seven weeks and Phoenix for five weeks. Housing away from home city is provided, but actors unable to be out of town for that length of time should not audition.
The roles of Jay and Arty are up for consideration. All other roles have been cast.
Jay - Almost 16 years old. Sullen and angry at times - has quite a short temper, He’s caring and protective when it comes to his family. He has a great sense of humor and tries to act beyond his years.
Arty - 13 going on 14 years old. He’s innocent and a lot of comedy comes from his naivety. He has a warm nature and tends to look for the positive in a situation. Though he is young he has pluck, and an innate confidence that earns him respect.
Appointments are required in order to audition. To make an appointment, please call Jenny Bazzell at (520) 884-8210 extension 8510.
