VISITORS’ GUIDE TO ARIVACA

 (Map Not to Scale)

By Evangeline Ordaz

Directed by Eva Zorrilla-Tessler

This important and timely new play follows a desperate young Mexican couple crossing the border through the unforgiving Sonoran Desert, while offering many different points of view, ranging from vigilante border patrollers, local ranchers and Samaritan relief workers.  Tucson High’s Theatre has a long history of productions which address social issues and current events, and this play fits squarely into the nationwide immigration debate.  The fact that Arizona is at the center of the controversy makes this powerful play even more relevant.
