OPEN CASTING CALL!

Due to an overwhelming amount of interest, The University Filmmaker's Organization (UFO) is holding an additional open casting call for their upcoming short film The Gig

When: Friday, March 4, 4-7 pm

Where: Louise Foucar Marshall Building, Room 211 (Conference Room)

845 N PARK AVE. Tuscon, AZ

Non-Union

Non-Paying

The movie is about a pop-punk type band hurrying to gather all of their members together to play at their biggest gig yet.

We are looking for:

(LEAD) Derek:-- 18-24 singer pop rockish – Positive and confident. Tries to smile through everything. Likeable and relatable to audience.

***Needs to be able to sing***

Mike: – 18-24  (guitar-do not need to know how to play)  Is lazy and usually pretty negative. Smooth talker--kind of an ass, but people like him. His attitude rubs Derek the wrong way. Used to date    Jenna. This creates tension between the two characters.

Jenna: – 18-24  (drummer-do not need to know how to play)  Not negative, just lazy. Doesn't like to go out of her way to do something. There is tension between her  and Mike

Andy: – 18-24 (bass-do not need to know how to play)  Is the quite type. Goes with the flow.

Mickey: – 25-30 domineering presence--looks good and knows it. Like a used cars salesman. Main goal is to make money. Straight to the point.  Can be really nice when it is advantageous to him.

Mike’s Mom: 35-45 cougar

Kids: – younger elementary school kids

Speaking Kid - elementary school age; has a line and throws a cake

To audition, please provide a resume and head shot, and for those who are planning on auditioning for the singing role, please have 16 bars of a song prepared to sing from the pop punk genre. Some suggestions would be the choruses of:

"Face Down" by The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus

"Billionaire" by Travie McCoy

"Check Yes Juliet" by We The Kings
