Announcing

A New Series At

The Comedy Playhouse!

  I'm pleased to announce that we'll be starting a new series at The Comedy Playhouse.  The series will be called "The Comedy Genius of…" Every other month,  The Comedy Playhouse will explore the comedy genius of a different humorist.  The Comedy Playhouse will kick off the new series May 20th to June 4th with "The Comedy Genius of Mark Twain."  The show will present a mixture of Mark Twain's comedy monologues, dialogues, essays, poems lectures and dramatic adaptations.  Before the end of the year, other humorists to be featured include, Robert Benchley, O. Henry and Edna Ferber.

 

  "The Comedy Genius of Mark Twain" will be presented only 3 weekends. Performances will be Friday and Saturday evenings at 7:30 and Sunday afternoons at 3:00 starting Friday May 20th and continuing through Saturday June 4th.  Admission to "The Comedy Genius Mark Twain" will be $12.00 with discounts available for seniors and students.  The Comedy Playhouse is located at 3620 N. 1st Avenue at the northeast corner of 1st Avenue and Prince Road.  The Comedy Playhouse has lit, adjacent parking.  "The Comedy Genius of Mark Twain" is appropriate for all ages.

Holmes and Watson II Continues

Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson will continue their sleuthing until Saturday April 9th.  

    Tony Eckstat and Drew Kallen are reprising their roles as Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson in the ALL NEW Holmes and Watson II.  

  In the play, Dr. Watson reminisces about following cases from the original Arthur Conan Doyle canon:

The Adventure of Charles Augustus Milverton:

Can Sherlock Holmes prevent a blackmailer from destroying a marriage?

The Adventure of the Second Stain:

Sherlock Holmes is asked to try to recover a diplomatic document before it falls into the wrong hands.

The Adventure of the Empty House:

A man is found shot in a locked room.  Scotland Yard's Inspector Lestrade is baffled and asks for help in solving the murder.

The Adventure of the Final Problem:

Sherlock Holmes confronts his archenemy, Professor Moriarty, with deadly results.

    Also appearing in Holmes and Watson II are Cristin Phibbs, Christian Hustad, Paul Hammack, Bill Waters and Bruce Bieszki.
