Tucson: Winding Road presents Talley's Folly and Fifth of July

Two award-winning plays by Lanford Wilson about the same family set 35 years apart, performed in repertory: Set during World War II at the Talley family farm in rural Missouri,  Talley's Folly is the story of how Sally Talley falls in love with Matt Friedman, an outsider to her insular community.  In Fifth of July, a comedy set in the late 70's, Sally is recently widowed and preparing to scatter Matt's ashes, while her nephew, disabled Vietnam Vet, tries to convince her to sell their farm. 

 

Talley’s Folly previews on Thursday, March 31 and opens on Friday, April 1, 2011, with evening performances on April 2, 8 and 14 at 7:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday matinee performances are April 3, 9 and April 16 at 3 p.m. Fifth of July previews on Thursday, March 24 and opens Friday, March 25, 2011, with evening performances Saturday, March 26, April 9 and April 16. Saturday and Sunday matinee performances are March 27, April 10 and April 17 at 3 p.m.  (There are no performances on Friday, April 15.) $18 (With senior, student, military and theatre artist discounts.)
