AUDITION: Paid Actors for Weekly Variety Show

 

Seven Lively Arts is producing a three-month run of a weekly, afternoon variety show—featuring live music, special guests and door prizes—and needs three energetic, versatile performers to become the core of the show.

 

Auditions will be Thursday, April 7, from 1 to 3 p.m. at The Comedy Playhouse (3620 N. 1^st Ave at Prince). Please RSVP to sevenlivelyarts@gmail.com.

 

There are no requisites of age or gender. Performers will be selected based on stage presence, versatility, improvisation, collaborative ability, and chemistry with the other performers.

 

The three selected actors will work together to develop group and solo performance scenes, as well as taking turns interviewing the show’s special guests.

 

 

AUDITION REQUIREMENTS

 

Performers should prepare:

• A short comic monologue
• A short demonstration of a non-acting performance skill—music, juggling, impressions, etc.
  Please list all additional performance skills on your resume.

Performers may also be asked to improvise a short interaction with another auditioner.

 

 

PRODUCTION SCHEDULE:

• Thu., April 7, 1-3 p.m.: Auditions
• Rehearsals scheduled according to actor availability throughout April.
• Thu., May 5, 12-4 p.m.: 2 hrs Rehearsal + Invited Dress
• Thursdays, May 12 – July 28, 12-4 p.m.: 2 hrs Rehearsal + Performance

 

REMUNERATION:

• Actors will be paid $40 for each performance (total of 12 performances)
