Tucson: Open Casting Call: Marty the Bear, two female roles

One-17 Productions is holding an open casting call for the lead female role (the Mom) in their upcoming short film "Marty the Bear". Audition materials will be provided on site. Actors will be doing cold-readings of selected scenes from the script. All interested parties should send a head shot and resume to one17productions@gmail.com .

When: Sunday, March 6th from 5pm to 7pm
Where: UA McKale Center

About the film: Marty just can’t seem to catch a break. Stuck working as a children’s mascot, Marty finds that entertaining kids is way more than he bargained for. But when Marty turns to booze to help get him through work, he finds that mommy’s little angels are hardly what they seem. Can Marty finish the job and still score a paycheck? Or will he leave every shred of dignity back with those snot-nosed brats?

Character Bios:

Mom – Gender: Female, Age: late 20s, early-mid 30s

Relatively attractive, though slightly trashy, she looks as good as she can for becoming a mother at a young age. She is down on her luck but takes whatever she can get, sometimes turning to cocaine as an escape. She is currently going through a divorce.

ALSO currently seeking an actress to be a part of their upcoming short film 'Marty the Bear'. Auditions will not be held for this role. All interested parties should send a head shot and resume to one17productions@gmail.com.

Squirrel Girl - Gender: Female, Age:  early 20s

Marty encounters her when he stumbles over to her house, mistaking it to be his next job. She is attractive and wears a squirrel costume for her party.
