Your Day at the Capitol

Don't miss your opportunity to make your voice heard at the State Capitol during Arts Congress, Tuesday, February 3, 2015.

Arts Congress 2015, set for Tuesday, Feb. 3, is the one day each year that arts and culture advocates, patrons, educators, business people and voters can speak directly to Arizona legislators about the importance of support for arts and culture in our state.

We've planned a full day of activities at the State Capitol from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. The day will only be a success if advocates like you join us, and visit with your state legislators to talk about the impact of arts and culture in your community and the importance of public support for the arts.

Why you should attend Arts Congress 2015

1) It's a great opportunity to get to know legislators, especially since 30 percent are newly elected.

2) The 2015 legislative session will be challenging as senators and representatives decide how to deal with significant projected budget deficits.

3) Your energetic support is critical to maintain funding for the Arizona Commission on the Arts.

4) Take advantage of the Early Bird special for individual or organizational sponsorship opportunities for both Arts Congress and the 2015 Arizona Governor's Arts Awards. (See details at bottom of page.)

Arizona Citizens for the Arts also will provide you with talking points for your meetings with legislators. This is the one special day of the year when arts supporters come from around the state to be seen and heard by the Legislature. Don't miss it!
