PETITION FOR RECOGNITION OF THE ARTS IN
CITY CHARTER
January 16, 2015
For the first time in 89 years, the city of Tucson is examining the City Charter to determine ways to revitalize our current form of governance.

This review process is an opportunity for the City of Tucson to strengthen the profile of the arts by embedding language in the revised city charter that is reflective of a commitment to a healthy and robust arts community. The Tucson Pima Arts Council is requesting that our arts community once again show support by adding your electronic signature to the letter. The letter will be presented to the Charter Review Committee on February 5th with a formal request to include this language in the recommendations to Mayor and Council in the final charter revisions.
Deadline for signatures is January 22nd. Please forward this message to friends and colleagues. Thank you for your support of the arts in Tucson!
