Audition notice - EVITA - Arizona Onstage Productions - late summer musical

Arizona Onstage Productions, winner of 4 MAC Awards for their production of LES MISERABLES this summer presents the epic Tony Award winning EVITA this summer.  Commitments will be from late June through July and the first two weekends of August for a two weekend run.

This is a very large cast, and we need a core of really strong choral singers (12) as well as a core of trained dancers that can sing (12).

We are accepting resumes for EVITA.  Every role is open.  Please send your resume/headshot as well as what role you might want to audition for (including amazing ensemble) to:  kjohnson.stage@gmail.com

All roles are paid. The first round of auditions will be February 14th and 15th from noon to 4pm.  More details will be provided on acceptance of your resume.  We are asking for auditioners to sing 1 song in the range of the desired role, and one segment right from the score. We will send you the sheet music via email at least a week before auditions.  The first level of auditions do not involve dance, though dancers are encouraged  - and they need to make sure that we know they want to come back for dance/sing auditions.

A note from the director:  "After touring for many months and loving this show, I think it is time to bring Tucson a fresh and newly exciting concept of EVITA.  This includes new additions from the last Broadway production (the song You Must Love Me) as well as "Che"  being more of an everyman.  This production will feature wildly original orchestrations featuring a very personal small and powerful onstage band with authentic instruments from South America, as well as the expected excellent musicians and sounds to back them up.  It will be a very edgy EVITA.  If you think that this show is about "Don't Cry For Me, Argentina - you are in for a wild awakening, featuring new actual video footage and photographs integrated into the production".
