Read part of Chuck Graham’s review in this weeks Tucson Citizen about this play:
The power of truth may not always be positive, but it will always be powerful. This is the lesson in “The Twilight of the Golds” by Jonathan Tolins, given a remarkable reading by the Catalina Players.
The play imagines family life in a time when doctors can predict which unborn babies will become homosexuals. Implications quickly expand to disturb the whole family. What child of any age hasn’t wondered “What do my parents really think about me? Am I successful enough? Happy enough? Responsible enough?”
What if it turns out your parents just love you because they feel obligated to love you?
If these issues sound interesting, be sure to see the Catalina Players production.
