Hi,

Thank you for responding to my call for actors.  We are looking at about 2 hours of shooting on one day, most likely the Veteran's day holiday of Tuesday Nov 11 from 1-3 or thereabouts.  Location will be the Holiday Inn Palo Verde on the East side of Tucson at I-10 and Palo Verde road.  Crew will need to be there longer to setup and film interiors and exteriors.

This will NOT, I say again NOT be a paid gig, but can be a resume enhancer.

The shoot will not be a commercial per se, but will be background and stock footage for use in commercials, movies, and TV shows, and perhaps print ads, brochures, or internet use.

The primary purpose of the footage is to show young people (15-35 or thereabouts) playing and enjoying the card game contract bridge in a tournament setting.  Older actors are also welcome but I don't want to be overwhelmed with them, since I'll have a whole room full of 65+ folks there already for the tournament and may get permission to film them.  Fit and trim (current or former cheerleader/athlete types) would be nice.  Nerdy or Geeky is not what we want here.  The intent is to use this footage to attract young folks back into the game of bridge before the game dies.  We lost nearly two generations since "Pong" and other computer games came out in the late 1970s.  The true world class players must enter the game by the age of 30 at the latest in order to develop the tools and experience to be great.  Right now most of our competitors are in their 70s, with few coming up behind them.  I am 57 and am the second youngest player in our bridge club, the other being 50.  This cannot continue if bridge is to survive in America.

Dress is casual to include shorts, but I'd prefer not to see any tattoos or piercings other than for a single set of earrings (on women only, please).  Makeup won't be necessary, just wear what you normally wear in public.  Hats and shirts should not contain any advertising messages, except that you may wear university or high school logos.

Thank you again for your interest.  Thanks to those who sent head shots, but I don't need resumes or photos to make this work.  If you show up you'll be used in the shoot.  I'll advise when we have a definite go for shooting and a firm date and time.
