Subject: Zuzi Dance Company Audition for Male Modern Dancers
Zuzi Dance Company, School and Theater will be holding auditions for male modern dancers on Saturday, October 18, from 12:00-2pm at ZUZI! Theater, located at 738 N. 5th Ave (5th & University) Tucson, Arizona. Please bring a resume, be prepared to demonstrate a dance solo and participate in a Horton based modern class, company repertoire and improvisation.
Dancers must be versatile and have performing experience mainly in modern dance. Experience in improvisation, aerial and partnering is a plus. Dancers need to be available for company class (Monday) and company rehearsals on Monday and Wednesday evenings and Saturday afternoons. Ability to teach classes as well as perform is important. Performances and teaching are paid. There is no rehearsal pay. We are beginning to form a core company to take Zuzi repertoire to elementary schools by the Spring of 2009.
Zuzi is a performing modern dance company, school and theater, with a strong emphasis in aerial dance. We are located 5 blocks from the University of Arizona, in the Historic "Y" and close to the downtown Tucson area. Zuzi is committed to collaboration and encourages choreographic opportunities and members who love to move, create and express their own unique vision.
