9/26/08.   REDONDO MUSIC THEATRE announces continuing auditions for their November production of the Rodgers and Hammerstein classic, CAROUSEL.

 

Auditions are set for Tuesday, Sept. 29, at 7 pm in the Fellowship Hall of the Christ Presbyterian Church, 6565 E. Broadway (2 blocks east of Wilmot.  The parking lot, and Hall, are at the rear of the building--driveways off Broadway are at each end of the compound.
      

Looking for: 

·         JULIE JORDAN.  *Late teens/early twenties Soprano, very pretty, innocent.  LEAD.

·         BILLY BIGELOW  Carousel Barker.  late 20's-30;s. *Must have a very powerful baritone voice!  LEAD

·         JIGGER  Thieving, dishonest, friend of Billy.  About the same age.  Baritone.  Sings one number.  Principal

·         TOWNSMEN (Whalers)  Sing Chorus.  Various ages. 

·         Young (teens) town girls and boys--Chorus sing and some dance.


Performances are Nov. 6, 7 & 8 at 7:30 pm,  Nov. 8 at 2 pm at the TCC Leo RichTheater, 260 S. Court and a special performance at the skyline Country Club, Nov 13,  at 7:30, with a rehearsal on Nov. 12.
        

Rehearsals begin Sunday, Oct. 5, Sundays through Fridays.  No Saturdays.  All actors will _not rehearse every night.  Rehearsal are at Christ Presbyterian Church.  Girls wear proper apparel for dance. (No tap.)  We will audition from the musical score.  Bring photo/resume.
