Tucson: C.A.S.T. Clean and Sober Theatre is now holding auditions!

C.A.S.T.-Clean and Sober Theatre

is looking for young people to tell their personal stories with this dynamic theatre troupe for the 2008-2009 season

 

 

·        C.A.S.T. is composed of young people between the ages of 13 and 23 whose lives have been impacted by addiction, either through their own use or that of a family member or friend.

 

 

·        They undergo intensive training to gain insight into the pressures affecting their addiction and recovery, help create a script, and then take the stage to reveal the progression of the disease, the impact on family members and the challenges of recovery.

 

 

·        C.A.S.T. performs at high schools, middle schools, elementary schools, treatment centers, and conferences, educating young people, families, and the professionals that serve them, on issues regarding drug and alcohol use and addictive disease.

 

 

·        Cast members rehearse12-16 hours/week  throughout the year

 

 

·        Cast members perform 1-3 shows per week during the school year, beginning in Fall

 

 

·        Cast members are paid for performances and contracted for six months.

 

We are currently looking for cast members between the ages of 18 and 23 who would like to tell their story of how their lives have been impacted by addiction.  We are also looking for actors to play supporting roles such as parents, teachers, and councilors.
