The Musical

SONGS FOR A NEW WORLD

By Jason Robert Brown

Directed by Kevin Johnson

Associate Direction and Choreography by Debbie Runge

Arizona Onstage Productions, a Tucson-based, multi-award winning professional theater company (Sunday in the Park with George, Elegies, BARK!) continues to bring fresh, exciting and bold music theater works to the Old Pueblo - our newest offering is Tony Award-winning composer Jason Robert Brown's SONGS FOR A NEW WORLD. As told by six dynamic singer/actors, as well as a professional onstage band, full lighting and set, SONGS musically explores the world of change – in life, in family and love. Starting with the founding of America and going past today, common themes are addressed from different and dynamic angles. SONGS has a running time of 95 minutes with no intermission.

"Songs For A New World is bright, entertaining, and well worth checking out during its short run"  - Tucson Weekly

"Kevin Johnson...has put together a balanced cast of solid singers to make a convincing case..." - Tucson Citizen

Featuring Liz Cracchiolo, Charity LaPonsie, Jody Mullen, Marcus Terrell Smith and Jacinda Swinehart. Musical Direction (and additional vocals) by Khris Dodge, Lighting Design by Scot Gianelli and Zachary Ciaburri, Sound Design by Jon Marbry and Costume Coordination by Debbie Runge.
