ARIZONA THEATRE COMPANY'S SUMMER ON STAGE DEADLINE APPROACHING - JUNE 1

Limited spots available for intensive five-week theatre program

Ten full scholarships still available

Up to forty high-school students have the opportunity to learn from theatre professionals and perform on Arizona Theatre Company’s stage with Summer on Stage 2009.

Sponsored by Arizona Theatre Company, the state’s leading professional theatre company, and the nationally recognized University of Arizona School of Theatre Arts, Summer on Stage is an intensive five-week theatre program where participants learn a variety of acting techniques including character development, voice for the actor, scene and monologue study, movement, and dance. Students are educated through classroom work, and an intensive rehearsal process leads to two fully-mounted productions performed at the Temple of Music and Art, the home of Arizona Theatre Company. The productions, one play and one musical, are to be announced. Returning to Summer on Stage, Arizona artists Cale Epps and Amzell Magaletti will direct, with musical direction by Mark Rethman and choreography by Elizabeth Oates.

Classes are June 29-August 1, 2009; Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM.

Performance dates are July 29 - August 1, 2009 at 7 PM.

Classes are held at the University of Arizona and the Temple of Music and Art in downtown Tucson.

REGULAR REGISTRATION is $625 and the deadline is JUNE 1, 2008.

LATE REGISTRATION is $675 and the deadline is JUNE 15, 2008.
