Subject: Casting Call for experimental tv/web series

Truth On The Line is a tv/webisode program about a news show focused on the borderlands called News On The Line and about the people who work on the show.  Shooting its pilot episode this summer in Tucson, TOTL  includes a mix of dramatic and nonfictional/journalistic elements.  Think Slacker meets Broadcast News, only the news is real.  We're currently casting for a number of roles, described below.

The pilot is a nano-budget project with deferred payment, but it will be used to pitch the series and hopefully get funding for continuing it.  So, we're looking for creative people who are interested in possibly working on this on a continuing basis.  There will be lots of oppportunity for actors developing and fleshing out their own characters and participating in writing as the series progresses.   If you're interested, please send headshot and resume to casting@newsontheline.tv

Stan - lead, male, 40-50, average build; anchorman of a news show about the border and immigration; somewhat jaded, in a low-intensity midlife crisis.

Maria - lead, female, 30s, latina, anchorwoman of the news show; dependable, no-nonsense

Sarah - female, 20s, production assistant of news show

Phil - male, 20-40, technical director of the news show

Rob - male, 20-40, floor manager of news show

Johnson - M or F, 35-50, thin, severe, very businesslike; bookeeper and grantwriter for the news show

Writer #1 - M or F, 20-35, rookie reporter on the news show

Julia - female, 30s, executive director of a non-profit foundation, Stan's ex.

Thank you!
