Pima Community College Music presents Dean & Anna Schoff in a faculty vocal recital

Tucson, Arizona – Pima Community College performing arts department presents music faculty Dean (tenor) and Anna (soprano) Schoff in a faculty vocal recital. David Craig will accompany on piano. The program includes the music of Franz Liszt, Piotr Tchaikovsky, Franz Grothe, Alfred Bachelet, Rimsky-Korsakov, and Schumann.


Dean Schoff holds degrees from Westminster Choir College and the University of Cincinnati in voice, choral conducting and opera. He has over 40 leading tenor roles and over 45 orchestral, chamber works and oratorios in his repertoire. He has been heard in operatic and concert performances throughout the United States and Europe. He was the recipient of the prestigious Musical America/High Fidelity Award for Outstanding Performance and Musicianship (1978). Schoff has served on the faculties of the University of Arizona, Fairfield University (Conn.), University of Northern Kentucky, Joannes Gutenburg Universitaet (Mainz, Germany), and the Academy of Our Lady of Mercy (Conn.). He is co-creator/facilitator of the successful international master class/seminar titled “Self Esteem for the Performing Artist,” and the founder and artistic director of the Casa Adobes Fines Arts Academy in Tucson.
 
Anna Schoff won the Metropolitan Opera National auditions at age 20 and went on to earn degrees from the New England Conservatory of Music and the Manhattan School of Music. She has performed throughout the United States and Europe with over 30 leading operatic roles. She has appeared in recital and concert in Oslo, Stockholm, Wiesbaden and Paris, as well as, throughout the United States. She has also performed on Broadway.  Ms. Schoff maintains a private, duo-voice studio with her husband in Tucson, and is a facilitator/lecturer for the successful international master class/seminar titled “Self Esteem for the Performing Artist.”
