Studio Connections Fall Theatre Classes

 

Studio Connections is now accepting registrations for its Fall Theatre Classes. Class size is limited to 15 students, so don’t delay!

 

DA VINCI MUSICAL THEATRE

--emphasizes vocal training, physical interpretation, improvisation and rehearsal, culminating in a production of the Tony-nominated musical , A Year with Frog and Toad, book and lyrics by Willie Reale, music by Robert Reale, based on the books by Arnold Lobel. Ages 14-18

 

CLASS TIMES: Wednesdays, 4 PM – 5:30 PM & Saturdays, 11 AM – 12:30 PM

DATES: August 25, 2010 – November 13, 2010

 

DA VINCI ACTING CLASS

--emphasizes vocal, physical and interpretation skills required for traditional spoken drama, culminating in Neil Simon’s The Good Doctor.

 

CLASS TIMES: Thursdays, 4 PM - 6 PM

DATES: August 19, 2010 – November 18, 2010

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR:

 

Robert Encila is a certified master teacher of twenty years. He is a native of the Philippines, where he spent his teenage years playing guitar in a rock band and touring the islands as a dancer. He immigrated to the US and graduated from the University of Arizona on a full fine arts scholarship. Robert is a prolific director, singer, and actor, appearing in recent productions with Borderlands Theater and The Arizona Theatre Company. His most recent national credits include performances at the historic Players’ Club and Birdland Jazz Club in New York City, where he is a regular performer. His second album of original songs, “Second Wind,” is available on i-Tunes. He is a member of the Actors’ Equity Association.
