You asked for, and here it is!!

KU Studios is excited to announce the arrival of two exciting six week session classes of musical theatre/acting. Class sizes are limited, sign up now to reserve a spot!

A fun and exciting program of exploration into Musical Theatre. Participants will rehearse a short play that will include music and dance with an emphasis on acting techniques. Games and exercises round out the experience and the term will conclude with a performance for friends and family.

6 Week Session: Aug 20-Oct 1 2010 (Closed Sept 3rd for labor Day) $100.00 (no registration fee; full payment is due at first class)

Instructor; James Gooden, 30 year veteran of theatre (Live Theatre Workshop, Gaslight Theatre, Top Hat, and Comedy Playhouse) and film (notably, Can't Buy Me Love)

Sunday Seminars for Older Teens and Adults

Auditioning: This four hour seminar will focus on the fundamentals of auditioning for stage and film. Topics will include pictures, resumes. cold reading, cattle calls, film interviews, and the art of being yourself.

Principals of Acting: This four hour seminar will focus on the useful ideas and concepts that help to shape and refine a believable character. Topics will include motivation, intentions, obstacles and how to make good choices and execute them effectively.
