Subject: Audition Notice - Beowulf Alley Theatre
Audition Notice for Beowulf Alley Theatre’s
Active Imagination Theatre
(Tucson, AZ) Auditions will be held at Beowulf Alley Theatre, 11 South 6th Avenue 85701, for a new program, Active Imagination Theatre, on August 21st and 22nd from 11a-3p with a goal of developing a company of up to 10 adult actors, using 4 to 5 per show (double casting). Please dress in comfortable clothes for physical movement. A stipend will be paid for performances and parties. For more information, please contact John Vornholt at johnvorn@aol.com.
Active Imagination Theatre is participatory, improvisational theater for children, ages 4-8. Each 30-40 minute story is created via improvisation by the actors and director in rehearsal then performed with children from the audience participating in some scenes under the supervision of the adult cast using only a bag of silly hats and costumes for props, allowing for the most fun, flexibility, and creativity. Portability allows the troupe to perform in schools, museums, and other off-site venues, giving us a vehicle for outreach to the community. Post-show birthday parties may be added under the supervision of the performers.
