2011-2012 Page on the Stage Finalists Announced

Beowulf Alley Theatre Company announces the finalists for their 2011-2012 Page on the Stage program. Three Tucson playwrights, three directors, more than a dozen actors and a very busy technical team will present three unpublished plays for public viewing after several weeks of work to transfer their words on the page to a place on the stage. Ensembles will work with lighting, sound effects, props, costumes and minimal sets, to create an intimate environment where their words are the focus and the audience is a part of the process. The following plays were noted with distinction by the judges. The 2011 finalists are:

Rebecca Bloch's Avalon 2.2

Richard Chaney's Seven Bridges

Devin Gorman's Icon

Gavin Kayner's Stephen's Syndrome

Jonathan Northover's You Do Not Want to See This

Arianne Weare's The Ridiculous Diaries

The announcement for the three winning plays will be at the April 10th performance of Fronting the Order by Warren Bodow at Beowulf Alley Theatre, 11 S 6th Avenue, at 2:30 PM. Also announcement on-line at our website, www.beowulfalley.org that evening. Please join us in congratulating these playwrights. Performances for Page on the Stage will begin July 7th.
