Pima Community College Music presents PCC Wind Ensemble in concert

Tucson, Arizona--Pima Community College Wind Ensemble, under the direction of Dr. Mark Nelson, presents its final concert of the 2010-2011 Twentieth Anniversary Season. The program includes the ever popular “Incantation and Dance” by John Barnes Chance, selections from Percy Grainger’s magnum opus, “Lincolnshire Posy,” the “Little English Girl” march by Delle Case, Wagner’s “The Ride of Die Valkyries,” and “Overture in Contrasts” by Robert Hammack. The featured soloist is student Dana Doyle performing the “Suite for Euphonium and Band” by Donald Haddad. The brass ensemble, percussion ensemble, flute choir, clarinet choir and saxophone ensemble will also perform.   

The PCC Wind Ensemble concert is open to the public. Tickets are available at the Center for the Arts box office, located on West Campus at 2202 West Anklam Road, Tucson, (just west of downtown and I-10 on St. Mary’s Road which turns into Anklam Road).
