Subject: INHERIT THE WIND OPENS NEXT WEEKEND

The da Vinci Players of Studio Connections present Inherit the Wind by Jerome Lawrence and Robert E. Lee. This Pulitzer Prize-nominated play has its genesis in the events of the  famous Scopes Monkey Trial of 1925. A brilliant response to McCarthyism, the playwrights have crafted a courtroom hit for the ages that celebrates the wisdom of modern science in the shadows of traditional religious dogma.

One of the most outstanding dramas of our time, it draws the portrait of an explosive episode  in American culture and remains as fresh and relevant as ever. The play is directed by Robert Encila.

"A masterpiece. This is the test: to see the play once, twice, three times. And each time to leave the theatre as deeply moved, as enlightened, as lifted up, as magnificently entertained. And as convinced that is it one of the truly great American dramas of this
century." Scripps-Howard.
