Tucson, Arizona--Pima Community College digital video and film arts department is pleased to present the Digital Video and Film Arts Screening under the direction of David Wing. The screening will include film and video work from students in the beginning and advanced classes, along with the premiere screening of “
Byline,” directed, funded and produced by the advanced cinematography classes this year. The film was shot in black and white using a broadcast quality, high definition digital camera.

“Byline” is set in the 1950s and features cars with wide fenders, women in seamed stockings and guilt-free public smoking. The story is about a young female newspaper reporter who when denied advancement by the sexist male management, ruthlessly manipulates the system to get everything she wants. The script was written by PCC digital arts student Shannon Mier and directed by Christopher Raboin.

The Digital Video and Film Arts Screening is free and open to the public. For further information, call David Wing, 206-6976 or email: dwing@pima.edu .

The PCC Center for the Arts is located on West Campus at 2202 West Anklam Road, Tucson, (just west of downtown on St. Mary’s Road).  For information call 520-206-6986 or e-mail centerforthearts@pima.edu
