The Berger Performing Arts Center, on the Campus of the Arizona State Schools for the Deaf and the Blind, is hiring a part time Theater Technician.


The Berger Performing Arts Center is a 496-seat Proscenium theater that hosts

events ranging from school related functions (student concerts, staff presentations,meetings, etc.) to public and private events (graduations, musical and dance recitals, concerts, public meetings, etc.) and is an excellent multi-purpose concert hall and theatrical facility.


The position will be an as needed position, scheduled only when there are events that require technical support. This will vary depending on the time of year and should only be considered part-time. The position pay is $12.01/hour.


We are looking for individuals that are strong in the following areas (experience in all three areas is preferred, but not required – we can cross train – a strength in at least one area is ideal):


Sound Technician: Setting up and operating sound for concerts, meetings, recitals, theatrical performances etc...


Lighting Technician: Focusing, operating and sometimes designing lights for various events.


House Manager: Running events, interacting with the public and with clients renting the venue to insure a successful event. This position requires good communication and people skills.
