Arizona Youth Chamber Ensemble
ARIZONA YOUTH CHAMBER ENSEMBLE (AYCE) provides serious young acting singers in Tucson with an opportunity for music and dramatic education and performance. Membership is open to students from middle school through age 20. Since 2003, one of the goals of AYCE is to give students equal opportunity to perform music that reflects their own personal tastes while increasing their knowledge of choral and stage music in both contemporary and classical works from the standard repertoire. To that end, AYCE performances exhibit a broad range of styles and languages as well as a variety of different genres of material. AYCE is a community outreach program of Arts Express.
o AYCE is a mixed ensemble
o AYCE focuses on the individual as a performer
o Students in the ensemble are serious about pursuing performing arts at the college level
o Students receive one on one vocal & dramatic coaching from private vocal instructors or ensemble directors or both
o All members are encouraged and given the opportunity to perform solo repertoire in the style of their choice
