WE NEED 40 DANCERS!!! THIS IS AN OPEN AUDITION....
IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN AUDITIONING, PLEASE RESPOND WITH “AVATAR – CHOLLA” IN THE SUBJECT AREA……
I NEED YOUR NAME, EMAIL AND PHONE NUMBER. THERE WILL BE REGISTRATION AND PHOTO RELEASE FORMS FOR YOU TO FILL OUT.
AUDITIONS/REHEARSALS/SHOW INFO:
AUDITIONS: Saturday, September 3rd at 11am and Wednesday, September 7th at 6pm. Or call for an appointment.
REHEARSALS: Wednesdays at 6:15pm -7:45pm and Saturday at 11am-1pm.
SHOW: Friday, October 23rd, AT 1PM, CALL TIME 12PM-NOON AT CHOLLA HIGH SCHOOL IN THE SEAN ELLIOT GYMNASIUM, 22ND STREET (STAR PASS) AND LA CHOLLA. THE DANCE IS 8 MINUTES LONG, IT INVOLVES WEST AFRICAN/BALLET/MODERN/DUNH
AM TECHNIQUES STYLES OF DANCE (YOU DO NOT HAVE TO KNOW ALL STYLES)....
AUDITIONS/REHEARSALS WILL START AT DUNBAR CULTURE CENTER, 325 W. 2ND STREET (TWO BLOCKS SOUTH OF SPEEDWAY) OFF MAIN BY I-10. ABOUT 5-10 MINUTES DRIVING FROM THE U OF A AND THEN MOVE TO CHOLLA.
Na’vi Costumes include prosthetic ears, yellow eyes and full body make-up by Barbea’s Face Painting & Body Art, all Na’vi characters have to be available early on the scheduled show time. NEED I SAY NO NUDETY, IF IT SOUNDS LIKE THAT…. LOL… WE WILL PROVIDE COSTUMES AND PROPS, YOU WILL PROVIDE PROPER UNDERGARMENTS and need to have your hair plaited, explanations will be provided, TBA.
THE DANCE IS POWERFUL! LET’S MAKE IT HAPPEN!!!
