CASTING CALL!

 

Short film being produced though the Film and Television Program at the University of Arizona needs actors!

 

Casting Call on September 12th, 2012 at 5pm! Sign in at the first floor lobby of the Marshall building at 845 N Park Ave (2nd/Park; next door to Paradise Bakery)

 

The Story: Heathcliff, a bankrupt web designer, campaigns to send his father's cremated remains into deep space. However, because of his childish understanding of finances, he continually finds himself in dead-ends, but maintains an underlying obsession that puts his relationship with his own son, Jedediah, in jeopardy.

 

Actors needed for the following roles (in order of screen time and shoot commitment)

 

Heathcliff (looks 40-55 years old)– main character, web designer/collector/inventor, desperate to send his father’s cremated remains into space  

 

Peter McBomb (looks 25-35 years old)– An up and coming documentarian in need of a new subject, fascinated by Heathcliff’s mission

 

Jedediah (looks 13-17 years old)– Heathcliff’s son, all too familiar with his father’s unprofitable schemes

 

Dad (looks 65-90 years old)– Heathcliff’s deceased father, a baker who failed his dreams of becoming an astronaut

 

Landlord (Age may vary)– Heathcliff’s landlord, fed up with his inability to pay rent

 

Extras (18+)- Walking the streets of Tucson as Heathcliff hands out flyers

 

Parking available in lot behind building, in Main Gate Garage, and metered curbs by Arizona Historical Society (please pardon construction).

 

Any actors under the age of 18 requires parental consent and supervision!

 

Headshot preferred but not required. Improv experience a PLUS! SAG/AFTRA welcome!
