ATTENTION: SENIOR UA BFA FILM CASTING CALLS

3 PM Next Friday, September 14 in the Marshall Building Conference room at the University of Arizona, BFA Seniors, Victoria Tulk and Brad Wong, will be casting for their senior thesis films. These roles are not paid. Gas money may be provided on special request. Craft Service provided. See below for details.

"Our Last Hour" based off of Edgar Allan Poe's short story "Masque of the Red Death."

Synopsis: In order to quarantine themselves from a deadly plague, Edgar and Nora attend a lavish party with the world's remaining survivors. Edgar soon discovers that Death has entered the party while Nora struggles to hide that she is infected.

EDGAR: A handsome man in his late 20s. We are looking for actors that look older than college-age.

NORA: A beautiful woman with fair skin in her late 20s. We are looking for actresses that look older than college-age.

Supporting
HOST: A flamboyant, but brooding thirty year old. He is the life of the party. We are looking for a man in his early to mid-30's.

GREI, a science fiction short set in a future where the government hunts down citizens with psychic abilities for military use.

Synopsis: The year is 2066. The US government openly and actively hunts down citizens with psychic abilities for use in the military. But there's a problem. These psychics are not superhuman and die very quickly after continuous use. That's why the military wants Cora. No side effects, unlimited power. She's eluded their capture since childhood but now she must face her hunters to save her brother. 

There are two main roles and many supporting and featured extra roles. Background extras will be needed to for a battle scene.

Leads
CORA: A beautiful yet piercing young woman in her early 20's. We are looking for an actress who is comfortable with physical activity such as running and has some experience in stage-combat.

COLE: Cora's brother. A kind and pure young man in his mid 20's-early 30's. We are looking for an actor who would not mind shaving their head or cutting their hair short.

Supporting
MILITARY SCIENTIST: Academic type in his 40's-50's.

HUNTER CAIN III: A pampered heir to a large corporate empire. Male, must look like he's in his mid 20's to early 30's.

CAPTAIN BROGA: Greyhound veteran. Rugged male in his 30's to early 40's. Must be comfortable with elevating voice and physical activity.

NICK: Male capable of growing facial hair. Must look like he's in his mid 20's.

N.U.R. COMMANDER: A hardened Asian man in his 40's- 50's.

JACK: An NUR Captain who wears a Japanese demon mask. Must be comfortable with yelling and physical activity. 

YOUNG COLE: Male age 9-11.
 Must have parental permission and signed waiver. Parents are welcomed on set. 

YOUNG CORA: Female age 6-8
Must have parental permission and signed waiver. Parents are welcomed on set.
