ARIZONA THEATRE COMPANY ANNOUNCES NEW PROLOGUE PRE-SHOW DISCUSSIONS

Free talks connect patrons with artists before the curtain goes up

Arizona Theatre Company offers a new opportunity to discover how the artists at ATC produce the magical work you see onstage. Offering patrons an opportunity to hear from professional artists before many performances for the 2008-2009 Season, PROLOGUE: A Pre-Show Talk will start one-half hour before each scheduled performance after Opening Night.

Prologue: A Pre-Show Talk is a chance for ATC patrons to discover more about the play before the curtain goes up. All ticketholders will have the opportunity on specific show dates to join a member of the show’s cast or crew for a fifteen-minute pre-show discussion about the play, its history and the process involved in the creation of the production.

“Nothing adds to the excitement of attending a play more then the chance to explore the themes, ideas, and background of the production before the show begins,” said ATC Artistic Director David Ira Goldstein. “This new program will give us a chance to meet with those who are interested in delving deeply into the shows we produce and the ideas they contain, and give us all a chance to meet some of the extraordinary artists who make our work so special.”

Prologue will take place one half-hour before curtain time in the auditorium at the Temple of Music and Art on the following dates:
