Synopsis:

Gwen can't hear; she sleeps to dream where her world is audible and beautiful..

Guy cannot sleep; he hides in a world where he stutters and cannot relate to society..

Guy and Gwen live in the same building, in two separate worlds that are apart from the collective. Together they learn to live in a space where she hears and he speaks in unison. Using the enjoyably awkward sensibility and harmonic dreamscape of The Science of Sleep, and the gothic fairy tale style of Edward Scissorhands, Stuttering Ears (Deafening the Heart) is a hodgepodge of a tale, shifting back stylistically and tonally. It examines the human connection and the communication barriers that happen naturally, and those that we inflict upon ourselves.
