Position Summary	The Theatre Technical Assistant will assist in the production of dance performances and will work under the direct supervision of School of Dance production staff. This position will be available on-call for School of Dance productions throughout the fall and spring semesters, and may be considered for additional maintenance work during the summer break. Multiple positions are available.
Duties and Responsibilities	Typical duties may include: * Helping the Lighting Director with lighting production and equipment. * Helping the Sound Director with system operations and equipment. * Assisting the Stage Manager with performance variables. * Building and installing stage Scenery, special theatrical effects, etc. * Cleaning and organizing the theatre to maintain performance conditions.
Arizona Board of Regents Minimum Qualifications	Two years of theatrical/stage or costume production and maintenance experience; OR, any equivalent combination of experience, training and/or education.
Additional Minimum Qualifications	* Ability and knowledge of hand-tools, power tools, and basic carpentry. * Ability to lift 40+ pounds. * Soldering / repair of cables and circuits. * Sweeping, mopping, and cleaning.
Preferred Qualifications	* Ability to see what needs to be done and do it. * Ability to learn new skills.
