Casting Calls, parody of the Shining

Stuntman or Stuntwoman for Jack Nicholson Character (Tucson)

In Stanley Kubrick's The Shining, the Jack Nicholson Character (Jack Torrance) is chasing the Shelly Duval Character (Wendy Torrance) through the Overlook Hotel with intent of doing her harm. Ms. Duval's character slows Mr. Nicholson by smashing him in the head with a baseball bat and causing him to roll down a large flight of stairs. [You go girl.]

We are shooting a parody of the original Shining and are looking for a stuntman (or stuntwoman) to stand in for Mr. Nicholson and roll down the flight of stairs. It's an iconic scene that could be the highlight of any stuntperson's reel.

We are shooting the week end of October 4 - 6.

There is no monetary compensation, but the stunt person will receive screen credit and a digital copy of the film.

Grady Girls in the Shining (Tucson)

In Stanley Kubrick's 1980 classic The Shining, Jack Torrance (Jack Nicholson), his wife (Shelly Duval) and their son Danny Torrance are the winter care takers at the snow bound Overlook Resort.

We learn early in the film that a previous caretaker, Delbert Grady, had killed his wife and two daughters when he went stir crazy (just as the Jack Nicholson character will eventually do).

The two ghosts of the dead Grady daughters repeatedly appear to Danny Torrance.

Syndicated Evangelist is doing a parody of the Shining that will be shooting in Tucson on October 4 through October 6th and we are looking for two girls (6 to 14) to play the Grady Girls. In the film, they almost look like twins, but are actually just sisters dressed in identical blue dresses, white shirts, white socks, and black shoes). A parent must approve the script, sign the actor release and be on set whenever their daughter is on set. We are looking for individual actresses -- we will select two that look like sisters and we will provide the matching wardrobe.

As with the original film, the scenes involving the Grady Girls are short flashbacks with simple lines like "Can Danny come out and play." But the scenes are iconic images in the history of film making -- small but fantastic roles.

There is no monetary compensation but all actors will get screen credit and a digital copy of the film.

Interested parents should reply here and will be sent a script to review. Please send a headshot and resume if they are available.
