Call to Performers

 

Who?

The Tucson Fringe Festival is seeking performers for Tucson Fringe Street Theater to participate in busking on Saturday, October 28, 2017. Performers of all types are welcome; musicians, actors, jugglers, magicians, dancers, storytellers, singers, stilt walkers, contortionists, poets, etc…

 

What is Busking?

Busking (or street performance) is the act of performing in public places for gratuities. Many celebrities such as Robin Williams and Eddie Izzard started their careers as buskers.

 

Where?

Performances will take place at two locations on 4th Avenue, the Winsett Stage by Goodwill and the plaza on the north-west corner of the underpass. Each performer can request 15 minutes, 30 minutes, or 1 hour performance spots throughout the day. A tentative performance schedule will be released on or before October 14, 2017.

 

How to Sign Up?

Send a link to a 3-5 minute audition video to tucsonfringe@gmail.com. Video links can be from YouTube, Vimeo, or Facebook. Please include your name and contact information as well as the amount of time and/or number of time slots you would like to perform. Deadline to apply is October 14.
