In this wacky sex farce by the author of FUNNY MONEY and RUN FOR YOUR WIFE, a Member of Parliament is planning an adulterous fling with the Prime Minister's secretary in the same hotel where he's staying with his wife. Between an inept assistant, a jealous husband and a conservative member of the House of Commons, comedy ensues as the arrangements spin out of control!

ABOUT THE PLAYWRIGHT

 

Ray Cooney is today recognized theatrically and publicly as “the master of farce” and a most worthy successor as an author to the great Ben Travers, and as a director/actor to Brian Rix. A most prolific writer of stage farces/comedies of high standards which have not only graced the stages of English speaking countries for more than 40 years, but have been staged worldwide and translated into more than 40 foreign languages including Chinese, Japanese and Russian. Television broadcasts in English and foreign languages have also been widespread. Thus has Ray Cooney earned an international reputation as the finest living writer of this form of theatre, and professional and amateur artists have benefited from his writing genius and influence as well as an actor/director. Charles Spencer, the doyen of theatre critics wrote of FUNNY MONEY!: ‘Ray Cooney is a national treasure’.

 

ABOUT THE ARTISTS

 

Missie Scheffman (Director & Jennifer Bristow) - is so excited to be back on the LTW stage after appearing in many shows over the past several years including IT’S A WONDERFUL LIFE, The Sisters Rosensweig, The Seven Year Itch, The Importance of Being Earnest, Spider'sWeb, The Miss Firecracker Contest and Design for Living. Missie also enjoyed the opportunity to direct LTW shows Half and Half, A Thousand Clowns and the musical I Do, I Do. Missie has performed on the ATT stage, most recently as Sprinkle, the Cookie Fairy! Missie has a BFA in Theatre Production: Acting from the U of A. Missie thanks her family for their love and support.

 

Stephen Frankenfield (Richard Willey) - was last seen as George Bailey in IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE.  He was recently a creative collaborator for ETCETERA’s production of MIXTAPE. He directed SEE HOW THEY RUN, MOON OVER BUFFALO, DON’T DRESS FOR DINNER and most recently for LTW's All Together Theatre, DELIA AND THE MUD PEOPLE. Notable acting credits on the mainstage, where he has been a staple for over 10 years, include THE RAINMAKER, BAREFOOT IN THE PARK, RUN FOR YOUR WIFE, ARSENIC AND OLD LACE, DEARLY DEPARTED, CAUGHT IN THE NET, FUNNY MONEY, THE MYSTERY OF IRMA VEP and TUNA CHRISTMAS. He has been nominated for 3 Arizona Daily Star Mac Awards, twice for acting and once for direction. Stephen is a graduate of The American Academy Of Musical and Dramatic Arts in New York City.

 

Sofia Orduno (Receptionist/Maria) - is an international student at the University of Arizona where she will receive her Bachelors in Creative Writing this spring. She is currently interning at the Live Theatre Workshop where she received the opportunity to participate in this performance of TWO INTO ONE. 

 

Do Pham (Waiter) - is an alumnus of the University of Arizona and currently a film student at the Art Institute of Tucson, where he was recently introduced to theatre arts by his acting instructor. His first appearance onstage was Tezcalipoca in ATT’s production of DELIA AND THE MUD PEOPLE.

 

Debbie Runge (Pamela Willey) - is happy to be returning to the mainstage at LTW after last appearing in RECKLESS and DON’T DRESS FOR DINNER. Her most recent stage appearance was as Frances in AOP's FIVE WOMEN WEARING THE SAME DRESS. Over the years, she has been involved with several Tucson theater productions as an actress, choreographer, and/or director. She would love to thank her fabulous family for all their support and for running lines with her!

 

Nick Salyer (Edward) Received a BA in theatre from the University of New Mexico where he co-founded Shakespeare on the Rail and worked for Theatre for Kids Saturday classes program. He performed in the Asian Theatre Festival at the Beijing Central Academy of Drama. Since moving to Tucson, he has worked with Piquant Productions and Old Pueblo Playwrights, Beowulf Alley, and now LTW. Nick would like to thank the audience for supporting LTW and being a part of this wonderful experience! Equal thanks goes to the cast and crew which are near and dear to his heart. Break legs everyone!

 

Martie van der Voort (Lily Chatterton) has been performing as a musician and actor for over 40 years. She is pleased to be making her first LTW appearance. She has performed locally with The Rogue Theatre, Beowulf Alley, Itch Productions, Old Pueblo Playwrights, Arizona Onstage, Not Burnt Out Just Unscrewed, Bloodhut Productions, V-Day, Borderlands Theatre, Studio Connections, and Chamber Music Plus. She has written and performed a one-actor show called TransFormations based on transgender lives and stories in which she plays 11 characters. She is very proud of the work of her co-actors and director, and glad to be sharing Lily with you. She is grateful to be celebrating thirty years together (on opening night) with her partner Lauren.

 

Brian Wees (The Manager) - spent his early years honing his skills on the stages of Washington D.C. and New York City, most notably as an original cast member in Joseph Papp’s Off-Broadway production of HAGAR’S CHILDREN. Since moving to Tucson, Brian has appeared in numerous productions including Live Theatre Workshop's CAUGHT IN THE NET, CHAPTER TWO, PICNIC and ALL MY SONS; Quintessential Stage’s A SKULL IN CONNEMARA and THE WEIR; Beowulf Alley’s OF MICE AND MEN; Brachiate’s MACBETH; Borderlands’ GUANTANAMO; The Rouge’s THE DEAD; Arizona Repertory Theatre’s RUM & COKE; Winding Road’s A HUMAN EQUATION; and Invisible Theatre’s CIRCLE MIRROR TRANSFORMATION.

 

Keith Wick (George Pidgen) - Previous LTW acting credits include DANCING AT LUGHNASA, FUNNY MONEY, LOST IN YONKERS, A TUNA CHRISTMAS, WIFE BEGINS AT FORTY, WHAT THE BUTLER SAW, DON’T DRESS FOR DINNER (2010 Arizona Daily Star MAC Award Winner -- Best Actor in a Comedy), THE SISTERS ROSENSWEIG, HOW I LEARNED TO DRIVE, THREE VIEWINGS, RECKLESS, DEATH AND THE MAIDEN, and REGRETS ONLY. Keith has also appeared in several LTW All Together Theatre productions. He is a graduate of The American Academy of Dramatic Arts. Some of his favorite roles include Fluellen in HENRY V, Second Man in AND THEY DANCE REAL SLOW IN JACKSON, and Clive Champion-Cheney in THE CIRCLE. Keith is a recipient of an AriZoni award for his portrayal of Dromio of Syracuse in the Southwest Shakespeare Production of A COMEDY OF ERRORS.
