Starr Mountain is an original work by Playwright Linn Lane. This short but full length play deals with the concerns of homeless and inner city people being moved into an upper middle class desert suburban neighborhood, where a lot of the properties have been deserted by corporate families. Characters include Anna who inherits her aunts beautiful home, Fredonia a homeless woman placed by her social worker through a government program, and Newport Bob, a marginal citizen eeking out a life helping friends. Bob isn’t from Newport. Last but not least is Zaaz, also not from Newport, or anywhere on this planet. Its quirky fun with a message.
