Living in the world of Richard III is a chilling experience.  As we witness the machinations of the main character, we marvel at the brilliant verse that Shakespeare uses to plot Richard's course to the throne.  Written early in Shakespeare's career, this play is full of bravado and wit, curses and coronations and a beheading or two (or three or four).  Brutal in its subject matter but brilliant in portraying naked ambition, Richard III is a  thrilling morality tale about the last of England's Plantagenet kings.

Shakespeare's most charming monster manipulates and murders his way to the throne of England,  seducing the audience as he ensnares his victims. While Richard's deformities encase a hideous heart, the play's language is among the most graceful in the Shakespearean canon.
