spring concert

Tucson, Arizona--Pima Community College Chorale and College Singers, under
the direction of Dr. Jonathan Ng, present the final concert of the spring
semester concert featuring the Chorale singing American folk songs. Program
selections include "The Water is Wide" and "Hymn of America" by Stephen
Paulus, "Shenandoah/He's Gone Away" by Mark Hayes, and "Silent Noon" by
Ralph Vaughan Williams. Also included in the program are choruses from "Dido
and Aeneas" by Henry Purcell. College Singers present "Missa Sancti Nicolai"
(Mass No. 6 in G) by Joseph Haydn. Both choruses join to perform two
spirituals-"We Shall Walk in the Valley in Peace" by Moses Hogan, and
"Joshua Fit the Battle of Jericho" by Mark Hayes.
Pima Community College Center for the Arts is located on the West Campus
just west of downtown and I-10 on St. Mary's Rd, which turns into Anklam Rd.
Box office hours are Tuesday-Friday, noon to 5 p.m. and one hour prior to
performance.
