SHORT FILM IS HOLDING AUDITIONS THIS WEEKEND (Friday October 2nd through Sunday the 4th)
SPEAKING ROLES:
DR. JANUS - (female) 30 to 50 year old Zoo Keeper who starts as an uptight businesswoman, then unravels when she hears animals talking and the humans making animal sounds.
ANCIENT MAN - (male) ancient-looking enlightened prophet.
MR. SMITHSON - (male) 30 to 50 year old businessman who works with and is attacked by Dr. Janus.
JIMMY - (male) 20 to 40 year old serene zoo worker. Feeds the animals and sweeps the sidewalk.
MAN - 50 to 60 year old man who makes fun of the sleeping lion.
SMALLER NON-SPEAKING ROLES AND EXTRAS:
-People outside of the zoo talking on cell phones and listening to ipods
-People inside of zoo pointing at animals, eating ice cream, etc.
-People during a climactic scene where Dr. Janus attacks Mr. Smithson. After she runs off, they search for her
-Medical workers who search for Dr. Janus with a straight jacket and syringe
-Younger wife of MAN who laughs at his lion joke.
-People driving cars
