Welcome to SOL AXÉ!

OPEN HOUSE and RECRUITEMENT NIGHT!

We've been having a great time developing our show "Ashe, Ache, Axe!" which is a journey of the African diaspora to Cuba and Brazil, through music and dance...and we want to share it with YOU!

EVERYONE CAN DRUM! EVERYONE CAN DANCE!

Come join our drum and dance family, and learn by oral tradition and example how to drum and dance to the rhythms inspired primarily by Brazil, but also the roots from Africa and the relationship to Cuba.

You'll have a chance to play drums, move, and perform for the Tucson community, and have a BLAST sharing the COLLECTIVE JOY!

Where: Rhythm Industry Performance Factory, 1013 S Tyndall Ave

Come experience our show, "Ashe, Ache, Axe!", learn some movement and body percussion, try drumming and playing, and share a potluck with us! Bring a friend!


 Mission
Sol Axé (pronounced, Sol – ah –SHAY) a project under Many Mouths One Stomach, is a nonprofit drum and dance community in Tucson, Arizona. Inspired by the music of Brazil, Sol Axe features the music of many traditions from Brazil, the African Diaspora, and the World. Our intention is to inspire creativity, inclusiveness, community solidarity, and collective JOY, through lessons and classes, outreach programs, workshops, and high energy performances.
